My pictures below are from an iphone 6s and in the dark it magnifies white light so the pictures do not reflect accurately with white light from the actual picture quality. The colors on the projection screen are crisp, luminous and warm at the same time.this thing is bright! I was looking for a projector to use as a full time entertainment system with either a Roku or Fire Stick that I could use at all times of the day without needing to keep the window blinds closed and after trying another more expensive device I decided to try this and I’m so glad I did.The projector is very bright, and the high definition picture is a real treat.I bought it mainly to show Power Point slides when teaching a Bible study.Rather than spending $95 and an afternoon aligning the bulb in the old projector, I just got this one.The bulb was bright enough to use in a lit room and the resolution was great from a few feet away, but there were 2 main issues. The screen goes dark just a minute or so after turning it on.We purchased the WXGA high-resolution model for my Daughter’s mathematics classroom, unfortunately, Viewsonic packaged the lower quality SVGA model in a box labeled with WXGA.If you want a large screen, you’ll have to set it up FAR AWAY.The ViewSonic PJD5155 projector did not disappoint. We needed it for a very important presentation last week and certainly didn’t expect it not to work.I have been researching for "outdoor models" for at least 3 weeks, and to be honest, there really wasn’t one good website that really explained how projectors work.PLUS this one has an audio output for connecting your own speakers .my kids are very excited and are ready to start our summer movie nights! I purchased this projector one year ago, and just opened the box to use it for a school graduation ceremony.I even had my neighbors come with their lsen chairs to watch a Christmas movie! It was crisp and clear and super easy to use.But my computer guru realized that the image was rippling across the screen, and then I saw what he was talking about so I returned the projector. This projector is 3300 lumens and the picture is very compatible to my TV The projector is mounted on a plant shelf 9′ 9" up and 17′ from wall in family room to project 115" of viewing on a pull down movie screen that hangs over my 55" TV.It was a waste of money![/review2][review3] I ordered this budget model projector to use for outdoor movies and opted for the SVGA model.
For the price point and the 3000+ lumens you can’t beat this unit.My only qualm — and it’s a small one — is that there’s not a good way to reduce the projector’s volume. We had product for 7 months, usage was about twice a week, total of 167 hrs.It has a 3300 lumen lamp which is pretty good for $300.Few problems I’ve had with it.We are going to be purchasing 2 more. The picture is great.Everyone knows audio SUCKS on projectors.Since buying a 120" outdoor HD screen I’ve been searching for ‘the right’ projector. The remote and menu interface are easy and intuitive. In short, you get what you pay for.It had worked previously when we were finalizing the presentation at our office.THE PROS- The projector is clear. This one came out on top pretty much all the time for its brightness in lit rooms. That being said, when I finally pulled the trigger on buying a front projector, I was happy to spend $300 on one with 800×600 resolution, which is not HD, but what I’ve wanted since I was young in 1996 and which at that time would have cost well beyond a few thousand. It would have been nice to have a protective cover for the lens as available on many projectors..My gut had told me to go with the ViewSonic since they have a very good reputation with computer displays etc. This is my first projector for my first PowerPoint presentation from my Mac laptop. It was an $80 projector, so it was pretty crappy but I loved it!I was about to buy another one of those, but the 720p versions that cost around $200, but decided I really wanted to watch 3D movies which is possible with the PJD5155.
While there is much higher resolution to be had, SVGA is plenty for the PowerPoints I typically use, and it is plenty bright in most rooms., real movie theater brightness with LIGHTS OFF… Very nice projector and a considerable upgrade from ANY "under $200" projector… I don’t care what the specs / numbers they advertise are, this is better. The picture was great to watch the game before dinner and it was perfect. It happens multiple times.I was looking for a reliable semi-mobile projector, and the price and reviews for the ViewSonic were good, so I figured we would try this model out.The only problem is it didn’t come with an instruction manual, lots of options I don’t know what to do with.Great quality video with both video clips stored on the computer and streaming video. It was important for me to make sure I did not have to dim the lights.I had three goals:1) needed to be high enough contrast when lights were on to read,2) needed to be able to support display that was sharp on a 100” projection screen3) wanted a brand that I could get support or replacement parts when the bulb burns out, eventually.Excellent brightness and contrast in lighted rooms….This is the perfect projector for someone who wants true quality but can’t break the bank.I have a $90 projector I was replacing. And I didn’t over use it.We started with the sheet and upgraded to a screen, the kids loved it so much. This is the best projector I ever owned. The works and pictures are bright and easy to read and see.The units I was looking at only were rated at 100 lumens or less.We turn out a few lights, but there is still plenty of light and I have even used it with full light and the brightness is excellent.I also set it up to work with my Lenovo laptop, just in case I had any problems with the Surface.
