I researched the super cheap LED projectors and the high dollar projectors and can honestly say, This projector met every expectation. The edges were blurry and it just wasn’t working out.First full blown projector for me and I am very pleased, I’m not an a/v specialist but-the picture and detail looks superb on my 120″ white PVC screen. The picture was bright enough, but the projector I ended up choosing to replace this one was brighter even though that one has less lumens.I really wish I could have given it a higher review as I liked it out of the box.My intention here is to high light the best / most used features only.these are my impressions after 388 lamp hours.Exactly what you’d want .Because of the size and shape of my living room, I had to get a short throw projector to make the image fit my 100” screen from about 5 ft away.I love how quickly it starts up and shuts down! (No waiting forever for the bulb to cool down.I made the mistake of throwing away $140 on a piece of junk that barely outshines a flashlight before deciding to pull the trigger on the PX700HD.And, eventually, I expect it may be used in a regular room.I turned on the projector to get a rough sense of where to hang it from the ceiling and I was amazed by the color accuracy and brightness WITH 3 overhead lights on in the room; maybe I’m just use to business projectors needing to control ambient light to project an image? The image I provided in this review is on the grey/satin wall I mentioned above, which has imperfections on the surface.specialist.I put this on my coffee table in the living room and it gave me 100” from less than 5’ away. For years now I have been trying to use a projector to set up my basement as a sort of theater room. The good:The colors and flesh tones are good. This projector doesn’t have as dark blacks as the old projector, but the screen is much brighter. Its my forth projector, and my second ViewSonic.Super quiet and boots up in like 10-15 secs.
But, in this case, I was overwhelmed by the vast number of models, production years, and various other recommendations for minimum lumens, minimum resolution, etc.It was large, heavy, and to be honest the quality wasn’t that amazing. One problem with our set-up is we have ductwork right where a projector would typically be mounted on ceiling. Also the keystone only adjusts up and down so not much versiltility when you cant set up the projector right in the middle. The bad reviews I’d say are mostly dumb people who dont know how to use things like this and arent problem solvers at all.I kept the Optoma and returned this one, not because it was bad but wanted better options that fit my needs. It was really hard to find something that I did not like.We have a small living room and being on the opposite side of the room fills the entire wall.Colors appear washed-out.I got it for $400 and I don’t regret the purchase For gaming or animation, this projector is freaking AWESOME! The picture, colors, and brightness are really great, and I have zero lag on any online games where it is crucial.00.I use the projector about 13 feet away from the wall I projector it and its pretty good.I use it every day, and am typing this review on it.Resolution and colors are beautiful – great product for the price.Recieved it a day ago .Originally we thought it was the transmitter we connected to the machine but when we connected directly to the machine with a quality hdmi chord it still froze.Upon plogging the projector in I was surprised by the picture quality, but was a little dissapointed that this projector only had a 1.What I do not love, but can tolerate is the fan noise and hot air.
The picture is clear but it freezes every 10 to 15 minutes. The RGBRGB color wheel makes all the difference on this and far outperforms my higher lumen BenQ with moderate ambient light, due to improved color accuracy. For someone who hasn’t used projectors much it was very frustrating and confusing trying to figure out how to get it to work with other devices. Brightness is good.Love it, it’s portability, great images in a very small package. The external audio output is perfect for the soundbar whether it’s through my Apple TV/chromecast or DVD.The 1080p looks great on my 100 inch screen. The image is huge and perfect for my needs when considering a short throw projector. So I will have to remove it from the mount and try to reinstall the mount more center of the screen to hopefully fix the lopsided look it projects. This ViewSonic PX700HD is the perfect one for your Home Theater. This is a great short throw projector.Works well in ambient light. The speaker audio leaves much to be desired but I doubt you’ll find many projectors that have great audio built in. Wow!!!!! The Best!!! Great Picture Quality, Can’t wait to get the 4K ViewSonic for Christmas.Easy to use, great picture, and bright enough for outdoor use.Got this at a very good price and I think this is an excellent value.I deducted 1 star because it does not have the freeze screen function that its older version did have.
