When I opened it up I was really shocked by the excellent build quality of this machine.I was quite sure it’s the brand Vankyo, but a bit more cubic and pointy.I don’t know a lot about them technically wise but know good ones are very very expensive. My issue with this projector was that the picture quality even while on a projector screen is still blurry. But I decided to give it a shot.It really wasn’t something I looked at closely when I was looking at the specs but it has surround sound if you want to enable it and it can get loud enough that it is deafening in my living room.A friend of mine spent around $700 on a projector and it made me want to purchase one.Very good of them! This is a great projector.Man cave, theatre room on a budget, portable party projector – this fits the bill. The image is bad.It only had 19 reviews at the time but they were all 5 star and the stated brightness capability caught my eye.I like that it looks nice and put together well.It was going to cost me $300-400 to replace the lamp and DLP chip in the old unit.Hope this can be fixed.I wasn’t expecting much, just something that might provide a little bit of entertainment.Very easy to use and set up.I am the head coach for a HS volleyball team and I needed a way to review game film with the team and I kept running into problems at school – network connectivity, few open classrooms with projector screens, etc.Sound output is fair for general use though anyone using this for movies and gaming may wish to have another option on hand.My old Sharp projector from 2008, while it still works great, is heavy and is missing some some ports found innewer devices, namely HDMI port. The speakers inside is fine for watching TV.

My initial goal was to buy one in the $100 dollar range as there were plenty options at that price point with decent reviews.I called amazon and they shipped a next day delivery replacement. It arrived a couple of days ago and being unfamiliar with projectors and not having a large space or screen to set it up with I wasn’t expecting success. This projector is bright enough that it doesn’t interfere much with the viewing .First of all the resolution is very good for the price.I’d probably also add adjustable feet in the back, since it never seems to be quite level and I’m always shimming it with a pen or bottle cap. Can’t even have a chance to add a picture.Sound is surprisingly good with the built-in speakers. It’s not worth $20 let alone $200.Now to the details:PROS:1.My estimate is 1,400 to 1,600 at best.I put this in my guest room and turned it into a game room/theater.I also thought we could play around with it at home.It really becomes a point of annoyance once you look at it and can’t stop obsessing over how uneven the sharpness is.My primary purpose was to watch various shows in the evening.Even on a cheap hang up screen, I’ve been more than satisfied with how this projector looks. For only $200, this thing is quite bright and sharp and nice contrast, even on a cheap 25$ stretch screen I bought with it.I have found that projector! The picture on this thing is truly unbelievable.

I hooked everything up and discovered the remote wouldn’t work with the unit, then the focus wheel was sticking and lastly the pitch wheel was damaged.I won’t go into details of the picture quality as others here have covered it very well.I was nervous that at this price point we’d be severely compromising on picture quality but that is not the case. And this is just on my wall which isn’t even completely flat.I homeschool and we were looking for something to interact almost like a smartboard with the bonus of being able to play big screen movies for the kids. After looking at several projectors on Amazon, I finally select this Vankyo 510, which is supposed to be one of their best projectors they have listed. The picture is only perfectly clear in one section of the display ; the machine is not sophisticated enough to be able to make the pictures clear the whole way across. It has a massive throw range so if you have a 100″ or bigger screen it can fill it up with a solid picture from a farther range. Most, however, are not bright enough and have less sharp pictures.Next we have the projector itself, setup was super easy and if you don’t mount it there is a nice little kick stand that comes in handy but I could see it breaking pretty easily, next we have the keystone and the focus, both of these are pretty hard to move and take some serious force ive noticed while adjusting it the entire projector will move.As you will see on the photos, the picture is rather clear.I searched for a projector as a gift for this Father’s Day that wasn’t crazy expensive but also wasn’t a novelty piece of junk. This projector did the trick! Here is the breakdown of the pros and cons of the projector for someone who is looking to incorporate their projector into an existing home theater setup instead of using it as a travel projector. You are getting more then your moneys worth buying the projector. This had more reviews and seemed to have better specifications also.I hadn’t even heard of this brand before. So I began my search for a bargain projector that would perform well but not be so crappy he didn’t enjoy it, and didn’t want to break the bank.I researched a lot of different projectors and settled on the Vankyo Leisure 510.I’ve only had a chance to use it for a couple of hours, but with or without the lights on in the room, showing against a plain white wall, the detail is incredible.
