Good size, lightweight and pretty quiet fan.The images are clear and crisp–moreso the darker the room. You can see from the images attached that with increased light levels more color and contrast is lost. Before purchasing, I spent a while researching and comparing different projectors, and I am SO HAPPY I chose this one! I LOVE that this projector is so versatile in terms of which media can be used with it and so user-friendly, with clear, minimal instructions. We use it for family movie night. In the HD generation this not good at all with the lowest expectations. The picture is great, really rich colors.I have it connected to a Google Chromecast for video and our outdoor speaker system for audio. But after using it for a week I can honestly say that it’s more than worth the money! The picture is clear and the sound is great! The only thing is that the fan is a bit loud, but the sound of whatever I’m watching usually masks the fan noise so it’s not really problem.Well its not the brightest, it is simple to setup but it does not seem to have a option to fix keystoning. These comments are directed towards those just entering the projector arena or do not wish to spend mega $$$ on equipment to begin their quest. It’s not good! I would adjust focus to the best and it still was blurry, not even close to what I can see on any other device, including TV.It had many positive reviews and a very affordable price, combo that is usually not easy to achieve.I have took 2 photos first with lights on and the second with lights off. After seeing it, we think we could do much more than just movie nights. At a distance of 13 feet the screen size is 8ft wide by 54 inches tall and has a fairly decent picture in mid day with blinds in room closed and an excellent picture in a dark room. It’s a nice gift, too – so be sure to check through your instructions for the gift card. The color and contrast are very good. The compact design is perfect to take anywhere.I will say that it’s definitely not the brightest and pretty much unable to watch during the day.
But for this price point, and for the times I have used it, it had been well worth it.We can connect our PlayStation no problem so my husband and son can play games and we use the Apple TV to watch our movies and listen to music.I was looking for a projector that was cheap, bit still was decent quality. It is nice and quiet.Generally I’m very happy with it.Do yourself a favor and just buy it.Disappointed in the quality, and eager to make a backyard projector movie work, i started looking on amazon.Instead of digitally altering the image, it skews the image against the lens, which means if you focus the center, the top and bottom are very blurry. Its brightness was so low that I couldn’t bring myself to like it even in complete darkness.Streamed movies using Roku and Chromecast. The color is way better than I thought it would be and the sound is amazing for as small as the unit is! Definitely worth the money!!Update: 3D is not what they claim.2 HDMI!Great packaging and travel case.I spent hours and hours combing through family photos and scanning them into my computer.I bought this on a with the anticipation that it would be sub-par and I would return but I’m very satisfied. The build quality seems pretty good but the quality control is questionable.HDMI input gives you the expected HD quality and easy connection, picture is sharp, Manu is simple and easy to use, audio is awesome, god enough for family movie theatre.Picture quality is just like a big hd tv just find right distance and clarity. It’s excellent for the price. The picture quality is great on a projector screen.I read reviews, watched side by side comparisons on YouTube and it came down to the Vankyo 420 or 510.
It worked great in that room.I removed stars for the following issues with this device:1.The initial downside to the product is a short power cable. The projector is great! Super quality image and great sound.Initially received an open box item from amazon that did not work. However you will need to put a grey blanket or sheet behind your screen and be sure to put your screen in front of something solid (shed, camper, side of house ect.Once I got it I tested it with the lights on and off and everything. The picture quality is quite good when project on just a white wall.We needed a second projector for various special events including kids parties, as well as home use.The projector is about 10 ft.Here’s what you need to know if you’re looking at purchasing this projector. The speaker is fine but we use a Bluetooth speaker for better sound. Then I saw this one in an article online, red the reviews and decided to give it a try. Also the internal speaker is very weak.Individual pixels can be identified during normal use of the projector.Even when focused as much as possible, the top and bottom portions of the image were slightly blurry. My only hurdle thus far has been the short power cable that is included (roughly 3.After exploring multiple products I decided on giving the shot to Vankyo 420 and I was surprised by the picture quality and excellent sound it offers. You get much better picture and sound, and you would definitely feel that it’s worth it.Not bad when there’s light but you don’t get the same effect.
