I’ve owned over ten projectors prior to this one.We shopped around a bit and this was the best price for what we were looking for!! Perfect for our movie theater room. But is it WAY WAY better than the older Sim2 HT-300E projector it replaced? Not really.you will have to lower the projector to the hight of the screen or move the projector further from the screen. It’s brighter than expected 2.still on the original bulb. Also reading other reviews from other sources the Epson‘s have power supply issues, indicating potential future issues out of warranty.Picture is amazing. The picture quality is excellent, bright, and fits my needs for a 1080P projector on my Stewart Firehawk screen. Great picture and at an excellent value! Easy setup… already received multiple compliments on the projector’s performance from guests… sleek design of actual projector looks nice as well Only negative is that I wish it didn’t need an HDMI cord from DVD player to projector. This is my first projector, finally upgraded my basement setup to go big.I recommend visiting this site if you are setting up your own theater room.I did exhaustive research on a new projector and this one stood out as the obvious choice at the price point I was looking at.[/review3][review3] I’m not a huge Sony fan, but I have to say I am impressed with this unit for the price.I primarily use this to play Xbox One games, both single and multiplayer. It was only 720p so the bump in res has been nice to start with but the color and contrast of this Sony are just amazing.the benQ I had before was good too but it was loud compared to the Sony.

I’m not a huge Sony fan, but I have to say I am impressed with this unit for the price.Even my older VPL-VW60 works well, but I needed to get a 3D upgrade without spending a small fortune.I am very happy that I purchased this projector! No good at all Good picture with really good 3d.I am glad we got this one.The image is full of details, color is precise and black is decent.I bought a $200 and $300 projector and kept the $300 one for about 20 days and realized how much I enjoyed it.Even old dvds look 2k.Boy, am I glad I did.Couldn’t have asked for a better one This is my 5th projector and my favorite by far.

i am very pleased with this sony.so far I love it!! My application is in dedicated theater, dark walls navy blue and dark ceiling grey… flat paint, home made screen, Carl’s screen material , made the screen myself, youtube easy to make…but I’m going to upgrade to a $500 to $700 screen soon… still need to do some research… I’m Bob A.Movie theater quality picture and works great for my teenage sons gaming as well.worth the price Vivid bright images, no noticeable lag and very easy to set up.Works great for movies, HD shows and gaming Very nice projector.Even with some ambient light in the room the picture is bright enough that you dont need a totally blacked out room.Great picture straight out of the box.1080p was much more crisp and the black levels are *great*.It gets super bright and lights up my whole room so make sure your walks are a dark color.Quite impressive indeed..Screen turned green after watching 3 movies. My family love the great images it produces, glad I bought it.If you want a projector on a budget get this one! Especially if you plan on gaming a lot on it.I do not use motion flow but keep reality creation on 20 for both settings and the image quality is awesome. But not as loud as Epson… picture is superb!!! Outstanding!! so far!! I will update this review in about 2…3 weeks….
