Big upgrade from a bulb to laser.I looked at the BENQ line and also Optoma’s lamp projectors.Pros- picture quality is good and you can see the picture without having to shut off the lights. The 300,000 to 1 contrast ratio really brings the images to life..After tweeking a few settings, the picture is incredible, bright and sharp. This is also the first projector I’ve had where I could easily detect rainbow artifacts. The picture was excellent and bright – no complaints there. One of the fans on the HD30 stopped working so I opted to replace v repair and thankful I did.Amazing clarity. Also, if set to Gaming Mode, the zoom feature no longer works, which effectively disables all adjustments you’ve made to fit the screen you are projecting to.you will not be disapointed.I had a BenQ about 4 years old which was a great machine, but I had to replace the lamp a couple of time.I was skeptical when they said that it would be twice as bright, but they were not lying. On paper this projector checked all my boxes. The picture is very crisp and it is fairly quiet.I installed my projection screen on my north wall and I was pleasantly surprised that even with a window exposed on the south wall, I was still able to get a very usable image. The 4K projectors are still a little pricey and most of them are not 4K anyway using pixel shifting to double or quadruple pixel count.

My eyes are not used to seeing such large images in such clarity as my previous projector had half the lumens. We’ve enjoyed this projector quite a bit.(My intended use is “home cinema”, not gaming. It inspired me to buy this one as an upgrade, so my pleasure with this model is a little biased.Time will tell if it holds up.The picture is amazingly clear, sharp, colors are great. It’s fairly quiet, but also large and heavy.’ The picture quality is good and the setup is easy.Incredibly sharp.First, the highlights are completely blown and are displayed yellow and patchy if you have the contrast above -40.The quality of the image is unbelievable.900 lumens vs 4000.Brightness is good in dark setting Not as good with some daylights. This has been a no Brianer purchase. This can take 15+ minutes and does not happen with HDMI slot 2.I had to return the item.Do not buy it for short range in a golf simulation structure..

I was the 300-500 projector type before. Cheapest best gaming projector you can get with the long lasting laser bulb however, very dissatisfied to find that marketed with 4k input yet only capable of producing 1080p. This is a great laser project and has a great HD picture. Not even close to new! Waiting to check the replacement, once it arrives. It is grainy and out of focus and there’s nothing you can do about it.Customer satisfaction means very little Getting white pixels after only 97 days.Picture is ok, i still need to do some tests outside. I am an Optoma Fan. Great picture quality.I tried both HD39HDR and HZ39HDR… Gotta say was not impressed with HZ39HDR it had color distortions and failed to deliver accuracy. It does not have the image capabilities, nor does it have an image position adjustment or internal vertical keystone.
