I settled on this versus the ViewSonic LS820 or LG HF85JA .The images have a slight greenish hue sometimes and I keep it in game or cinema mode.Do to shipping restrictions, I paired it with a DIY projector screen from Carl’s Place. Also unable to get a straight line at the top edge of the screen.Ran with an Arc to sound bar so it turns on all by itself as soon as you pop the Tivo button! Perfect for what I wanted.every one I got, I stepped up in price and theoretically quality every time, but they all continued to have some drawback, until I finally landed on this one.It doesn’t have all the latest technology like Wifi or Bluetooth, but it does what it does very well.Screen adjustment is easier but the settings are somewhat difficult to understand at first. It was very well packaged and the projector was extremely protected.Ultra short throw means I have a 100 inch screen with the projector only like a foot from the wall.It is the shortest throw projector anywhere near this price range.User friendly setup and the remote is backlit for night use.Once set up… There is still a fixed light border that is not part of the image, yet is light enough to show.Well worth the money – I’m obsessed with it! Unfortunately the wall I have available can only handle a 92” screen, this bad boy can go up to 120” I believe! I’ve had this projector now for almost 3 months and use it on regular basis both for video and gaming through Playstation 4.It kills a 120 inch screen on the wall.for a family use its more than you needed for.I turned it off and on and it was still the same.Apparently, Optoma did not notify Amazon about known Chip issues with this projector. Not having a UST before, I thought the picture was decent enough; however thankfully, the Polaroid started going haywire within a month.
Was up and running within 10 minutes.Awesome in a dark room, great projection size from very short distances and love the keystone correction.Wow what a difference.Of course it’s much more vivid in darker environments.fan lock….Quite hot so only used in ECO mode.Upgrading to laser for next ust purchase.Have taken it to 135” size.clear projections. It’s nice that I can put it so close to the screen. My testing was in a large 100’x36′ room with the lights off (but sun coming in the windows.Wanted short throw projector.Buen brillo y bien rendimiento.120″ on my livingroom wall.I must say I am not disappointed. If you live in an older home like me or don’t have the flattest projector screen this is something to consider but its easy to determine before buying this projector.
Set up was relatively easy.very happy with it.I am happy with both purchases. Now with my Yamaha home cinema its perfect copy. Excellent projector Great for the living room if you want to get rid of the physical presence of a tv but still be able to watch when needed.5 months. Great projector It’s great so far! Took me a bit to find the manual focus bar on the side of it.Considering the ability to easily clear lamp usage, my concern is how many hours have been put on unit.[/review5][review6] Like whith tv Outstanding…. I did try this projector, I wanted to have something more brighter than the LG PF1000 and it is, but this is the only improvment comparing the 2 projectors, anything else is mediocre: fun noise, remote control poor design, waves on top of the screen. It does put out a lot of heat and UPS tried to delivery it at 1:30 in the afternoon to a readintial address.I used it for a fixed ceiling mount installation and it was incredibly difficult to align.
