There is still no way to adjust picture settings, BUT this thing is just so flexible and fun I had to give it another star.So after a ton of research into portable projectors I bought this one.-1 starFor the past 12-14 days of so, Ive been in contact with Anker regarding my issues. This fit the bill perfectly.I want to like it.The fan is quieter than many laptop fans and also and speeds up and down depending on the brightness of the scene.Pros:Small and lightPortableHas built-in lens shutter that turns on / off the unitCan be battery powered or cord poweredBuilt in rechargeable lithium ion battery up to 3 hrs of play timeSleek and aesthetically beautiful case designHas built in handles for easy carryingCons:720pWeak projection lighting Non-standard form might make placement or mounting a challengeContrast is also weakPicture quality is averageOverall, if it were cheap I’d pick it up for a travel projector or portable projection for rooms, but I’m too used to 1080p minimum resolution , these low resolution projectors are unusable if you want to project to around 140” and want to be able to read texts on the screen. As a Stand Alone projector, this guy excels. If I can’t go to the movies I figured the movies can come to me and so it came the idea of getting a movie projector.2.Everybody throws lumens out there.I had to learn ‘native resolution’ vs ‘actual resolution’, lumens, ansi lumens, apeaker wattages, throw ranges, setup, quadrant setups.Confirmed iOS AirPlay issue.I stumbled on the Mars through an online article and opted for the Lite to reduce the complexity of all the extra software.Right out of the box, this projector is super impressive.I raised my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars, and may go to 5 if i don’t have anymore problems.I sprung for the Pro for the extra brightness. If we have to use the phone app for everything, why even have a remote? To improve our experience we added a Roku.I was happy with Mars II, however thinking upgrade of 200 ANSI lm would be better, returned Mars II and bought Mars II pro.I use this in place of a TV because I don’t have room in my apartment for a TV.
I’ve had this for over a month and using a firestick or watching Netflix the content is jittering.fan working, remote working, PC got response when connect with HDMI, just no light. So i purchased the mars 2 pro after lots of excellent reviews. This is a HUGE upgrade.I normally keep mine casting from about 10 feet away so even the the “recommended” distance is around 6 to 8 feet.I read complains about the projector not being loud enough. So far, we have used it in a darkened bedroom on a wall for Netflix and some streamed sports. My version had some issues focusing, I think it was a one off issue. It far exceeded my expectations in every possible way.Im an avid UFC fan and enjoy watching the PPVs and cooking out with coworkers when we get a chance.at night time this projector functions like a 700 projector.I like that I don’t have to hook up different components to get it up and going. It worked straight out of the box, no issues or setup complications.it was magic!!! Everything worked beautifully!! I used U-verse, amazon, Netflix, smugmug, personal photos….Still, this device has exceeded my expectations and resolved virtually every issue I had with my old projector.Image quality and brightness. The input ports are HDMI to connect a computer for audio, and USB-A to connect an external drive for pictures, videos, or music. If you expect a home theater 4k picture then buy a $8000 projector.Picture quality is good, the autofocus is acceptable, and the speakers are better than I expected.I plugged in my 4K firestick and it was ready to go.
The darker the room, the better. It’s bright enough to use during early sunset on a white table cloth hung on our wall.A lot of apps doesn’t work with it cos a google services support is needed which is not available on this device.I try to contact technician support from manufacture but they can not help me for solving this problem So I return this projector.)Decent Battery Life Great Sound “for a projector” (If sitting within 15 ft of the projector you can hear the movie and all dialogue well. The other minor complaint is that the tripod mount is too shallow to allow a good connection with most tripods, and the unit is really too top-heavy when mounted to a tripod .I don’t usually have time to write reviews. The picture is also very good quality, no problems at all when watching live sporting events or action packed movies. It’s portable and simple to use.I charged it up and ran it on battery with the picture brightness set to standard and using the internal speakers.amazon.You’ll start squinting to make out the image.Ive used this projector for the kids…or showing the Superbowl…and sometimes just for Netflix. At times the dark parts of the picture get a bit washed out with the brightness of the picture.Bluetooth speaker capability and WiFi capability to watch Netflix on the item itself. Thanks NEBULA! No complaints, didn’t have high expectations when I first purchased this product and was pleasantly pleased/surprised at how great the product is.I’m coming from having a Pioneer Kuro plasma TV so I’m into picture quality, but you can’t beat the value here, and the picture looks great as long as you close the shades.
