At the time it was overpriced, but now you can only get it used for about half the original price.720p is the sweet spot for downloaded and streamed content IMO for current internet infrastructure. You get a much bigger picture, that’s portable/adjustable, and at a much smaller price. The picture on a 100 inch screen looks fabulous. When the price dropped below $900, I bought it.I have a screen a little over 100 inches and HD movies look amazing.I certainly agree. My favourite appliance, after my automobile.I sat next to the projector – it was on high – didn’t even notice it.We are beginners in home theater and not tech savy, but this makes us looks like a professional theater!.I have it projected onto an Elite matte white screen in a darkened basement.5m) I have a screen of 89′.Almost everyone I have over says “I didn’t know projectors could do that!”, which I think is the real reason they haven’t taken off more…people just don’t know what they’re capable of.WOW! I can’t believe the brightness color and clarity of this projector.I have it mounted to the ceiling using aVANTAGE POINT CGUPM12-S Universal Front Projector Mountmount and it works very well.he used it to do a movie night for friends and it has a beautiful picture.I only have two complaints.[/review2][review3] This was my third projector and what a difference! If you’ve only seen 4:3 business projectors and think it can’t compare to an expensive flat-panel HDTV, think again! I have the image of an 8-foot plasma in my living room! It does not do miracles – if you feed it a crappy signal, you can crappy results (although better than it looks on my super-high res.I’m *very* pleased I bought this one.
computer screen) but when you feed this baby HD it’s the most immersive, cinematic experience I’ve ever had in the home.Eveyone that has come over has been shocked at the clarity and price I’ve had my HD1000 for a week and I still cant wait to find more HD programming. It was my first venture into the HD world.Glad I chose this one.I previously own a Panasonic PTAE700u for a year and a Sharp Z2000 1080p for the last 3 month .I saw a regular copy of “Pirate of the Caribbean” and the quality was freaking amazing… I love it.As a DLP projector, its black levels are superior to LCD projectors while the color accuracy is a bit off .It had the longest throw and brightness. It has lasted all this time amazingly well.Noise unobtrusive.I did find it for $899 with free shipping on another site when amazon still had it out of stock. And I can still say I know of no one that is..This is my first DLP so I don’t know if all DLPs are so deep & rich but this is phenomenal compared to the LCD it replaced.Though I considered the all-in-one units with built-in DVD and speakers, I could not find anything with HD quality, so went for this stand-alone unit and use it with my DVD player and home theater sound setup .1 surround speaker system and you will be impressed – I have not even bothered to calibrate anything yet, everything is right out of the box – Pretty sweet.I got all of these in astonishing measure with this projector, all for under a thousand dollars. When I ordered this, they sent me an older version. For the price, I paid $864, you can’t beat it.
Highly recommended! It was all the reviews I read that made me lean toward buying this projector and now I have it, I’m glad I listened. Also, it started making a lot of noises. But, why? This moderately priced projector has great bright throw and satisfying definition with settings for different screen aspect ratios. It is very quiet and is very easy to setup. To max out the hidden potential of this pj you may require Avia disc to calibrate the picture quality in terms of contrast, sharpness & colour.“Sharp” option is not active on HD1000 HD video projector and that is only complain. You can not beat the price. I’m really amazed about the quality of this projector, vivid color & nice contrast ,you will not regret I actually don’t have this product but I’m really interested in it.This is last years model.good image and no sound from projector.I also bought an inexpensive up scaling dvd player .Straight out of the box the colours are crisp and true.Excellent for connecting to computer or PS3 or XBox360 or Dish/Cable.If you are looking for a home theater projector for under $1k – THIS IS THE ONE TO BUY.
