In recent years, projectors have become very popular. When many young people face TV and projectors, more and more people choose projectors. I think there are three advantages:
1. Large size immersive viewing. The projection size of the projector can reach 100-180 inches. The large picture brings an immersive viewing experience, as if you were in a cinema; The 98 inch smart TV, even the cheapest millet, also needs 20000 yuan. The projector only needs a few thousand pieces to enjoy super large viewing.
2. Eye protection. Projector diffuse reflection imaging, compared with the direct light of the TV, the projector does less harm to the eyes
3. Portable. If you want to see it in the living room, just look in the living room. If you want to lie down in the bedroom, just move it. It’s very convenient
Of course, there are also some disadvantages, that is, the definition of products at the same price is not as high as that of TV. How to choose the projector and the pit to avoid
1. Brightness, ANSI lumen: the higher the better.
Pit one: only lumens, not ANSI lumens
Some businesses say how many lumens they have reached in the publicity. Friends who don’t understand may see that lumens are so high and be cheated by businesses. What we need to see about the projector is the display lumen, that is, the ANSI value. Because the light source will decay and the brightness will decrease after passing through the lens, the lumen of the actual projection imaging is the real viewing brightness.
Therefore, those who don’t talk about ANSI lumen values are playing tricks. ANSI lumens must prevail!
2. Standard resolution: the higher the better.
Pit 2: only compatible resolution, not standard resolution
There are two resolutions: standard resolution and compatible resolution
Standard resolution, that is, physical resolution, refers to the physical pixels actually presented. The higher the physical pixel, the higher the display accuracy
Compatible resolution generally refers to the maximum resolution of the input signal. For example, the film source is 1080p, which is played on a 720p standard resolution machine. The picture presented is compressed into 720p, that is, the actual picture is only 720p
Therefore, when choosing a projector, it must be subject to the standard resolution!
The common standard resolutions are 720p (1280×720), 1080p (1920×1080) and 4K (3840) × 2160) these three
It is recommended to choose a standard resolution of 1080p, which will have better viewing effect and more film sources. 4K resolution projectors will be very expensive, and at present, there are not many 4K film sources, the practicability is not high, and there are many fake 4K products. In addition, many businesses publicize 1080p, which may actually be pseudo 1080p, and the real physical resolution is only 720p.
How to avoid buying fake 1080p resolution? That’s the next key point. Look at the size of the display chip.
3. Display chip: the bigger the better.
Pit 3: pseudo resolution
The size of the display chip determines the number of micro lenses, and the number of micro lenses determines the physical pixels. There are two common chips:
0.33 inch (about 920000 micro mirrors), benchmarking 720p, i.e. 1280×720 = about 920000 pixels
0.47 inch (about 2.07 million micro mirrors), benchmarking 1080p, i.e. 1920×1080 = about 2.07 million pixels
0.33-inch chips claim that the standard resolution is 1080p, which are all fake 1080p. Due to size constraints, 0.33-inch chips can only distribute 920000 micro lenses, that is, 1280×720 = 921600 physical pixels. Therefore, the actual physical resolution of 0.33-inch chips can only achieve 720p. Many businesses claim 1080p with 0.33-inch chips, In fact, it is a pseudo 1080p jittered by technology;
Similarly, some 0.47 inch chip products claim to reach 4K standard resolution, which is actually a pseudo 4K jitter through technology. Here, it is better to have a larger chip, but the cost is also high. In order to save costs, chip manufacturers and projector manufacturers realize rapid displacement and simulate more pixels on the 0.47 inch chip through technical enhancement, so as to obtain a better look and feel than the native 1080p. Some medium and high-end projectors (the price is generally tens of thousands) use 0.47 inch chips with enhanced 4K technology to achieve an entry-level 4K look and feel. Although it is still much worse than the native 4K, it is also better than the native 1080p. After all, not everyone can afford real 4K products.
Therefore, when choosing a projector, one inch chip is strong, and the larger the display chip, the better!
4. Contrast: the higher the better
Contrast is actually the black-and-white brightness contrast value of the picture. The higher the contrast value, the more gradient levels from black to white, and the richer the color performance of the display screen
5. Projection ratio
Projection ratio = projection distance / picture width. For example, to achieve 100 inch picture, according to the picture ratio of 16:9, the picture width is about 2.21 meters; Then, according to the common projection ratio of 1.2, that is, the projection distance = projection ratio x picture width = 1.2×2.21 = 2.65m, that is, the projector is 2.65m away from the wall and the picture is 100 inches
When the projection ratio is less than 0.4, it is generally a laser projector, and the price is relatively expensive
The smaller projection ratio means that the same picture is projected closer to the wall. You can calculate the distance according to the space of your home. The general product parameters will also indicate the projection distance of 100 inches.
6. Trapezoidal correction: Recommended
Trapezoidal correction is to realize the up, down, left and right correction of the picture. It is generally used in side projection, which is more convenient. The projector without trapezoidal correction can only be centered and facing the wall, and the scope of use is limited.
