I couldn’t just stand it.It does well in both settings. It gets stuck in warm up mode according to Epson support. My fears were quickly put to rest once I fired it up for the first time.Don’t rely on the built in speakers as they would be too low.I wish Eco mode was on by default, and it’s a few levels deep in the menu, and so is the black default screen, but Eco mode looks great and the fan noise goes away.I was originally in the market for a 4k projector, but I see the price point is roughly double for a similar quality, at a bare minimum.Purchased several. After paying the GEEK Squad $100 to come out and try to figure out what was happening with the attempt to mirror from Windows 10 it was determined that it will never work!!! They contacted Windows help desk and allowed them to take over my computer and re install the drivers. They sent a refurbished replacement projector but I had to back up the date on usb and replace lamp from old projector into the refurbished replacement projector. The good:Great resolution and very bright. The noise is too big and the return is made.Comb filtering is much finer than comparable models. This is an excellent projector and I would by again.I use them in classrooms with windows and ambient light.Bright and clear.Doesn’t allow you to stream/mirror from IOS devices.

It is bright and I love the horizontal keystone which allows us to place the project off to the side if necessary. It was a replacement for a more expensive but older model from a different brand and it works much better.Have already used it many times for work. Great quality image, great brightness for general rooms.I can cast from my phone too.I’ve had Epson projectors before and this one is definitely the noisiest. This model I can keep the lights on and watch the presentation or movie.Has a screen mirroring function using a mobile phone. The volume is extremely low.It works perfectly.Very bright.EXPENSIVE BUT WELL WORTH IT.For the rest great quality in projection.

good at this price Excellent product for my company with modern features.Hoping it lives up to the initial impression.Unit works now. DO NOT BUY This product.[/review5][review6] I’ve only tested this and its new, so time will tell. Some are just bad. This EX9220 is an improvement over the previous model in nearly every way, save for older connections that the EX7220 had that are now being left behind in favor of extra connections for modern devices .I have used numerous projectors over the years, and this is an absolute great buy.The good news is the projection capabilities.
