I also own the LG OLED65C7, which I use for viewing 4k UHD content in “beautiful” mode.Factors considered was my throw range – around 17 or 18 feet from screen, to screen size of 120 inches, to my room which eliminates all ambient light.I researched SO much before buying this projector.1.Now, the biggest surprise is the size of the projector.I was comparing to the BenQ HT5550 and the colors and blacks are so much deeper it’s baffling. It is brighter than the 5040 model and the picture looks more detailed.I do take the time to read reviews before forking over three grand. It’s rated highest by all the people in all the leading reviewers. This feels like cinema, and given the quality of some screens and projectors you find at neighborhood theaters, sometimes even better. This review will probably repeat things given in previous reviews, but these are my opinions.Make sure that you get a heavy duty mount if you are going to ceiling mount or wall mount.Support, not so much.I removed one star because the lens shift is so finicky.I have the transmitter 10 feet clear line of site to the projector.old one is for lake house. The only reason I could see for spending more money on this mode is if you need to wirelessly connect an HDMI device or if your projector location required some serious adjustments to display correctly on the screen .I used a 20 year old 106″ Dalite 1.My unit has failed after 18 months.I’ve been using projectors since 2010.

The 4K HDR resolution is amazing, the fan noise is unnoticeable, and the contrast is superb even in an a room with ambient lighting.Cannot be planes in closet, rack or adjoining room. The most important things to me were deep blacks, sharp 4k resolution, vibrant colors and 3D bluray quality. We decide to upgrade to epson and I’m glad we did! However One thing that made things difficult was the fact that there is not an audio output! BenQ had one so epson should def get on board with that but I found a solution and we ended up purchasing an HDMI Audio Extractor so we could connect both our roku and switch and receive sound from our sound bar.I’m also a telecom engineer and the tech side is second nature while also being a movie buff and a gamer. You know those black bars you see on your 16:9 screen? GONE! Go out and buy and 2.The old projector was great so I stuck with Epson.I use this for watching movies, TV shows, gaming.clear, bright projection even in a room with ambient light.LotR movies are great examples.Be warned though there is no audio out.Though it is pricey, it is good quality and the money is not wasted Also the model we bought came with a wireless HDMI that made it easier to setup, and after figuring out the setup, it works well. The first copy of this projector that we received had severe chromatic aberration the picture was red on the right side and blue shifted on the left.I have a 11.It provides a crisp, bright image that is everything I had hoped for. There’s definitely a serious problem with these epson projectors.8/10 movies: not quite the best for dynamic resolution but I may just need to play with the settings.Big money, but love watching movies again.Call an AV team and have this installed if you are going to purchase.

Unfortunately, it has no Bluetooth capabilities and trying to integrate with sonos or other reputable brands, requires an audio extractor as well as a degree in mechanical engineering.Since we live at high altitude the projector fan will run more..I read the reviews of the earlier model, thought I would take a chance. It is amazing.I can hear the hum of projector so it’s not the most silent but it’s overall a solid buy.I would add though that while the faux-4k effect is excellent with the right source, the display can seem blurry for some or most of the content you watch unless it’s pristine, native 4k.Picture quality is amazing.I watch on a 100″ screen and couldn’t be happier.Color appears to be very accurate. It turns out that the power supply is insuficient to power the Chromecast using the usb port. The UHZ, I love for how sharp the picture is and the Epson 5050 for the colors, they are so rich and the blacks.I used to have Optoma uhd 50 but it was almost half price of this, so I cant really compare it with this one.We also have a BenQ HT2150st and the picture quality difference is far less than I expected. The 5050UB by volume is probably twice the size but in this case the ladies were right bigger is better. As long as you’ve got the ability to mount this beast, you won’t find a better product. The picture is better than cinema quality and, even though the lumens are fewer than my old Optoma, it is so much brighter, even in daylight.
