Subsequently, the unit failed to power on after about 2 months/100 hours of use.The resolution is beautiful. This projector has turned itself off at least once every night we’ve had it and twice tonight in the last 30 minutes.Like all Theatre Projectors darkness is required to work.UPDATE: in Epson’s defense, I only had to spend 3 mins on the phone call, and they are shipping out another one via 2-day priority. However amazon shipped it with parts missing.I had an older 1080 P Epson and then an Optoma HD33 1080P.Really wish I didn’t have to purchase the Wi-Fi dongle separately.Sharpest picture with the most amazing color gambit. When the shipping box arrived, I was thinking, damn that’s a large box for a projector. It works intermittently.I could NOT be happier. The projector is not receiving the power supply. This purchase was the right choice.I had heard about the 5040ub and ultimately went for the 5040ube version since the wireless feature was a key feature i needed.Highly recommended product.Called Epson and they said it was an internal projector error and was unusable.Have it on a 120 inch elite screen and the image quality is excellent, even with the wireless hdmi.
Still Wow.Don’t waste your time or money. Fantastic projector but don’t get the wireless unless you need it for some strange reason.Love it Awesome picture. All my drapes are open, sunshine is coming through all of the windows in the living room and the picture brightness is still phenomenal.I used this to replace an Epson 8350 which has been a fantastic projector. Now I need to upgrade all the other components.Well now that I have a few hours in on this thing I can confirm….Power supply problem a few months ago and Epson replaced it.Couldn’t ask for more.By the way, it’s huge, I call it the spaceship, lol! Better than expected.good picture quality, ease of set-up with no wires.
Very impressed with the brightness and overall quality of the picture.I suppose I thought those were outliers.I purchased the unit with the remote HDMI inputs for multiple reasons, I put my DIRECTV, Blu-ray player (which doubles as Netflix etc.I really glad I found this projector.Suddenly one day it would not turn on.I was told this is unacceptable as this issue is all of the refurbished issues as well.nice crisp picture.Great projector when it works in need of a desperate power supply fix.I purchased new in Nov 2017 and it failed and was replaced in Feb 2018 and it failed and is being replaced. But once you do… it’s fantastic.Picture and noise levels are great, but the USB port is problematic. Can not font celling good Can’t wait to get it coming from 6020 .The main reason I bought this model was because I wanted the 4K feature and the 4K picture is only as good as a Blu Ray DVD.
