Many of the features and quality of that 3600e are included in this 2150.Epson’s reputation is what drew me to their brand and cost, lumens and connectivity is what brought me to this certain projector.I’m a projector nut, and have seen many projectors and have lots of comparisons to pull from..You should know from whom this review is coming from… so you can decide better.Until it stops working.I spent weeks learning about them, comparing brands and models, and reading reviews. However, one day it just wouldn’t turn on.Rich vibrant colors and very quick setup. It has good enough contrast and black levels for indoor, low-light use, yet is bright enough for outdoor use.I was torn between this and the Benq HT2050, but ultimately went with this because I knew I was going to use it sometimes during the day and not just at night in complete darkness, plus I didn’t want to take the chance with the "rainbow" effects. It is very bright, and high in color saturation and accuracy. In other words, it was just bouncing around inside a cardboard box.We were told by professionals that the projector would not work at that distance from the screen because the throw would be 300 inches. The images move smoothly without any use for the built in interpolation functions. So far I have no screen to watch it on.Assuming the picture wouldn’t be that clear or bright – this projector was a HUGE shock. It’s very bright and resolution is very crisp. No problem, it was replaced quickly by Amazon.Hooked up with audio receiver wirelessly with a transmitter without losing the picture quality.
The 8350 served me well for 8 years, through three $400 bulbs, but began to suffer the dreaded cinema filter motor failure and occasional auto iris failure.I used to own a $90 projector from a Chinese company before.I have a Windows 8.Completely ruined watching anything that was mostly dialog.I have it on a blank wall and it looks great even without a screen. No problem at all with this projector.I love the projector, is brighter than the BenQ cause is has 2500 lumens and the BenQ 2000 but picture wise I think they are booth on par Great outstanding colors plus you get the wireless feature with the epson.I bought this because I could get a bigger screen at a lesser price than buying a big screen tv and it hasn’t disappointed.I purchased this for a simple home theater setup and am really happy with the purchase.I’m really frustrated and disappointed.4 stars is only that fan is loud but you don’t really hear it when something is playing. So far I have been impressed with picture quality and reasonable black levels .Just night and day.The picture quality is just like being at the theatre.Gray is much improved and red is much less magenta, but yellow still has some inaccuracies.I hardly finished setting up my HT surround speakers and it stopped working with flashing blue status light and red/orange lamp light.I’ve watched a couple of action movies and image is great.Did add some support in the attic to make sure it was mounted stable. We watch a movie one night and it was working perfectly.I’m ashamed to say I tried upgrading to an Optoma 4K projector and the color and contrast was nowhere near as good as my Epson! Blacks were milky and the whole image looked very flat even when watching movies in HDR.
We didn’t have much experience with projectors beforehand so we didn’t know what to expect, but the quality of picture is great and brightness also great.Worth the money instead of buying another t.It has less than 2500 lumens so, in a bright room, the picture will appear washed out, but the contrast ratio, zoom, and picture quality more than makeup for the lower lumens. The fan noise is only noticeable when you set it to a “bright” mode, which is almost never necessary unless the sun is shining directly on the screen.I just love the picture quality that this projector offers. The only downside is the sound level of the internal cooling fan which is a bit loud.Put it in our basement with a 100 inch screen at a distance of about 14 feet and the picture is great! Lots of adjustments for angle, distance and size. The internal 10watt speaker does a very nice job and I use it as the singular sound source most of the time. The sound coming directly from the projector is not the best.Amazing at night. It performs beautifully in ambient light and in a dedicated theater space.1 gain screen this projector performs well in a room that gets direct sun light.without any communication amazon sent me new one at my door in 2 days.Generally halfway between the throw calculation distance based on data from Epson’s handy distance calculator website. It is bright, really bright.I will be honest,.Having said that, about. As with most projectors the sound on it is not great, I use external surround sound like most everybody else so that is not a issue for me.The problem is that it’s not very intuitive. After I send it to service center of Epson , the only answer I got is they don’t have components for this machine.
