Seeing as Amazon combines numerous models into the same review pool, I felt the need to specify. The house I lived in last year had the similar HT2050A and that had the same volume issue.I tried a cheaper projector that was actually ok. I had heard a lot of good things about this projector.Projecting it into a pull-down EliteScreen, 84″.Invited me to his home, saw his that, hd effect that is super good, asked him. That said, the picture quality is fantastic. The first night this came in the mail I set it up and cast it against the wall, she’s been hooked ever since! This thing throws a huge picture from a short distance.Movies and video games Picture Quality 10-10The picture is great, very good colors and the blacks are very good too. After a few months of reading reviews and watching side by side comparisons I was leaning more and more towards the BenQ and a much much more expensive projector. My first was the Optoma GT1080.We regularly have movie night outside on our back garage and this totally upped the game.I wanted a short throw projector to show outdoor movies by the pool.So this big purchase had me wiry when ordering because of some of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

Whereas the GT1080HDR colors were washed out, the colors on this projector are vibrant with good saturation out of the box. Lens is 2 inches from the top, useful if you’re using their calculator onlineWow, projectors are sick, saw a movie in 720 and resolution wasn’t even a problem, can’t wait for 1080Playing video games and watching movies — the scenery is real and life-sized, it takes your breath awayHaven’t done extensive gaming yet, only tested this a few times, but it seems legit, will try to report on the draw latencyDefinitely doubles as a space heater.HD, short throw, looks amazing.that being said this is by the the best projector for gaming I’ve ever seen and if I return it’s only because I want to upgrade to the BenQ 4K and the fact the remote doesn’t work but I’m sure if I was keeping it I could get a replacement of remote. The colors were dull and dark.I absolutely love my BenQ and have recommended it to other people already. It produces a very crisp 10 foot picture. The lumin output is rated a lot lower than many in the same category.I was pleased with the Optima and thought I would stick with Optima, but after reading reviews the price/quality/picture I was led to a BenQ.It took awhile to get the keystoning just right, given the short throw, but once dialed in it doesn’t need much readjustment.I was also very impressed with the customer service.I had mine installed, was quite a daunting process, but highly rewarding..Would definitely buy again for the basement in the future.I initially got the Darbee but was disappointed by the grain and artifacting during very bright scenes and some dark scenes.[/review4][review5] Awesome picture quality. This projector was a massive upgrade in image size and color.I’ve only had a chance to use it for a couple of hours, but with or without the lights on in the room, showing against a plain white wall, the detail is incredible.

This picture is on a regular wall so I can only assume that it will be even better against a regular screen.Produces a nice image with great colors.Picture could be sharper but serves it’s purpose in dedicated theater room I was looking for a great value projector for my modest home theater room I was creating.Color accuracy and picture quality is very important to me.I also have a home theater which I use a BenQ projector so I have already been impressed by the brand.Does not connect well to devices and then is unreliable. It can be hard to get the brightness to the place you would like, so this means settling with it too bright or not bright enough at times, but it’s still solid. You will need to make sure your source is capable of 120hz and possibly upgrade your HDMI cable to 2.I’ve compared it side by side with my existing 2150ST, and I’ve decided to keep the 2150ST, mostly because of some contrast variations, and I think the picture looks better based on some custom settings.Didn’t need much calibration, but the image and colors pop off the screen.I set it up in our enclosed patio space with tons of ambient light.I watched a lot of videos on projectors and figured I’d take a chance with the BenQTH671ST.Wow.Besides that worth every penny amazing peojwctor without spending over a 1000 Bought this as a replacement to a broken Optoma GT1080.This replaced a Benq MW632ST which was also a very good projector but the HT2150ST takes my application to a new level. The picture quality is great; still good even with sunlight coming into the room.
