The picture quality is amazingly bright and crisp.Sadly, with fantastic image quality this is heartbreaking.I am glad we didn’t go for the more expensive models because this one is amazing already.Colors are pretty exquisite, and still much cheaper than a TV.I found this through the wirecutter and just wow.The first projector I got was horrible.I also didn’t want to spend a lot of money as I didn’t need 4k or anything like that.I wasn’t disappointed.I had a 9 year old BenQ projector which I spent about $3000 on at the time. The other brands I considered was Viewsonic, Panasonic, and Optoma.Unfortunately, however, I am running into an issue with the sound output that could cause me to have to return the item if it cannot be resolved.Current Review:Pro:-Been testing out the machine all day and used Batman V Superman Bluray and Marvel PS4 Spiderman as examples.Fan is very quiet.Plus the remote controls numerous functions so picture quality, aspect, etc are easily adjusted.Coul use a couple more adjustments hence the 4 star review but it really deserves a 5 star im just being nit picky. And while it has an “invert” feature for hanging from the ceiling, it’s very hard to find, buried in layers of menus… that you have to read upside down! But here’s the much bigger problem: You can mount it only at two levels.I recieved this today and have been trying to set up sound for hours.ANSI lumens are the only measure for true brightness. With daylight the image was acceptable and at night with the lights off the image was superb.
I finally decided on this one seeing that it would hit the mark on all my needs for a “budget” projector. The picture quality is damn wonderful, completely blew me away. For 1080p streaming movies it is fine.I don’t think it has a screen trigger outlet. The quick set-up guide is useless and the other manual does not tell you anything you need to know. After a couple weeks of research I found a few brands that I was considering. No problem! Of course, the blacks are blacker at night.Able to watch in a well lit room without issue. The BenQ DLP far, far surpasses that one in Lumens , contrast and color.I’m very pleased with my choice.Al final lo devolví porque no soporte la idea de no poder regular la imagen realmente en todos sus parámetros.Pictures when dark are very crisp with rich colors. After going back and forth in a few different models in the $600 range I pulled the trigger on this one because of good reviews across the web, and a spectacular price..I read lots of reviews before buying a projector but really don’t have a point of reference other than our wall mounted flat screen TVs.I have no idea what flaws a videophile/expert might find, but for those of us wanting an excellent general purpose projector for TV/movies/presentations, this is a great product for the money.I would provide technical details but I don’t know enough to report those details.I have it on a 110 inch screen and the image is razor sharp especially in brighter scenes, and you can see details you simply cannot see on a regular TV.Easy to mount on my mount.
Induced eye strain and headache and this was after turning off the bright mode, setting it to Cinema, and then also cranking the brightness from its setting of 50 down to 40.The screen is made of acoustically transparent spandex and compares favorably to the expensive acoustic screens I viewed before deciding on the DIY route. Also the audio out is a joke, I only use it as a projector running a firestick through my Oppo UPD 203 which sends audio to an audiophile stereo setup. However, the sound is terrible: the integrated speaker is extremely weak, you can barely hear it 6 ft away in a completely quiet room making it essentially useless. This projector is BRIGHT! We have ours in our living room which is well lit at all times because of the windows and the picture quality does not suffer.I loved the variety of connections and ease of menu use..At night, it blows people away. It’s my 3rd Benq.If you are tight on the budget, can go for this one.The picture quality is great.Just be aware, like others have noted, that you will need to pair this with a A/V receiver.I have it celling mounted right above where we sit. This projector is easy to connect to any device that you have, easy to operate, and easy to adjust the lens to focus.Image quality is great and brightness allows me to use it even when barbecuing with the curtains to the outside open.I have to crank the volume all the way up on speakers to be able to hear at medium.Bought it for the kids for camping and it was an absolute hit.The colors are very vibrant, didn’t notice any lag playing PS4 and XBOX on it.We tried using the external audio into a sound board BUT, same thing. This projector blew me away at the level of brightness and picture quality.
