I looked at lumens, throw ratios, bulbs, you name it.The hdmi ports have been nothing but trouble. This projector exceeds my expectations for a sub 1000 dollar product. Each time before it shuts down itself, the fan starts to work hard that raises noise for a few seconds. This one and a $2000 sony were my final options, and I felt the value of this Benq would exceed that of the Sony.I gave this the "Emily Test", as she has the youngest eyes in the house and was very sensitive to the rainbow effect from our Mitsubishi HC3800.If there are a few things I am guilty of, they are excessive research for just about every purchase — and the need to get the best product within reasonable price constraints — or perhaps at a small stretch of the budget .Original bulb blew in a year – just out of warranty and nowhere near estimated usage. My package came on time so kudos to the fine people at UPS.Have mine on a 120 inch screen from 12 feet away ceiling mount. With a 120" screen we’re definitely the place to be for Super Bowl parties and my kids love have friends over to watch movies.no adjustments for the room.MSI laptop in full brightness screen and a light on my parrot ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ I was looking for a good projector as an upgarde to my my existing old nonHD projector.Only negative is the lack of motorized zoom, so I tend to leave it on its "fill the screen in calibration mode" position, and live with the occasional non-anamorphic DVD rather than mess with the alignment by constantly adjusting the zoom.I watch movies on it and play games on it with zero noticeable lag (and I’m super picky about lag.I will say the Cinema Color standards supported are wonderful. The only reason why I’m not giving it 5 stars is because the picture isn’t quite as sharp and bright as my last projector, but it makes up for it in other ways. This is the one for you.

I researched for months between this one and an optima and this one is amazing….Installation using this mount was straight forward and the projector mounted securely.Really great 3D effect. This is my second BenQ projector, loved the first one but left in my last house’ theater room.if you are debating between a projector or a 85 inch TV do the projector….I am extremely pleased.Easy to setup and install, with lots of advanced fine tuning controls to match your environment and screen. As other reviewers noted, the projector noise is very low and the sound is decent without additional speakers.I managed to ceiling mount by myself relatively easily. This is my main TV in my bedroom and I like to go to sleep watching movies. The beautiful quality and lightness of the projector, matched with the price, cannot be beat.Screen size can go much bigger with this projector, but for my space that’s as big as I can go.v.709 is spot on after doing my own calibration on User1.Can’t say it is for sure better than the lower end Ben Q but do NOT regret this purchase.Movies and games look great.I knew I was ordering an entry level projector and I expected it to perform like an entry level projector.

Awesome gaming, movie and music video Quality!! Indoor and outdoor even stemming a movie. The projector this replaced was set on a tall shelf near the ceiling.Good interface, easy set up.Very good picture, fan is fairly quiet, speakers surprisingly good and powerful .Amazing picture.Easy to adjust the size of picture.Quiet with very accurate colour.I use it with a ps4 and have seen no problems with game play lag.Turns on and off very fast.100".Now I can enjoy movies during daytime. This is Paired with 6 Polk Audio speakers that are flushmount into the wall along with a subwoofer … It sounds better than going to the Movies[/review6]<!– .Color, brightness, contrast, all the movies, sporting events, it’s just like being there.Clear image, easy to adjust, and does a surprisingly good job framing the image with the projector placed to the far side of the room… good keystone controls.
